Hoengseong’s Museum Jajaknamusoup (Director: Won Jong-Ho) is drawing attention for presenting its first installation art exhibition in 11 years since its opening. Opened in 2004, Museum Jajaknamusoup is currently holding《Among the Forest of Winds》at Gallery 1 through May 26. This marks the museum’s second invitational exhibition of the year.

Huh Jeong-Won studied Western painting at Ewha Womans University, continued her studies in art education at the Graduate School of Education at Gangneung-Wonju National University, and received a Ph.D. in Plastic Arts from Ewha Womans University. Beginning with《Collection Mania》(Gallery Mano, Seoul) in 2001, she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions.

In this exhibition, she presents a range of contemporary works, including installation pieces using mixed media such as wood and convex lens lighting, as well as paintings executed in oil and mixed media.

The artist explains: “Thoughts that arise during movement are expressed through spatial and temporal reconfiguration, and these spaces collide and permeate between layers, sometimes generating unintended abstract landscapes. The forms born from reverie are condensed and expressed within a single frame.”
